By Nick Allen, Los Angeles She died in a suite on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles where she was a guest. She was pronounced dead at 3.55pm local time. Her publicist said the cause of her death was unknown.

POLICE after investigating the cause of Whitney Houston's death after emergency services were called to the Beverly Hilton Hotel. A member of the pop star's entourage made the call at 3:23pm local time and the services arrived two minutes later.

Music icon Whitney Houston died in her room on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton hotel today, just hours before she was set to attend the annual Clive Davi.

At approximately 3:43 pm the Beverly Hills Police Department received a 911 call to respond to the Beverly Hilton hotel regarding a medical emergency. Police and fire personnel were immediately dispatched. Fire Department personnel were already on
