Punxsutawney Phil sees shadow – others don't
Punxsutawney Phil hold perhaps the greatest responsibility of any groundhog. Not to exaggerate the situation, but on Groundhog Day, the fate of the weather rests in his hands.
Socialite and celebrity muse Punxsutawney Phil woke up this morning to the sound of his name, looked down at his I Hate Mondays T-shirt, and considered going back to sleep. He'd grown tired of the routine, weary from the
Punxsutawney Phil better watch his back when he's not looking for his shadow.
The famous groundhog predicted 6 more weeks of winter after seeing his shadow upon leaving his burrow. If Phil had not seen his shadow, Phil will remain above ground because it means that an early Spring is on the way.
