Steve Appleton, the chairman and CEO of Micron Technology died today in a small plane crash. Appleton, a professional stunt plane pilot and former motocross racer, was the only one in the plane when it crashed.

The Associated Press confirms Micron's chief operating officer Steve Appleton has died in a small plane crash in Boise. He was 51. Micron spokesman Dan Francisco confirmed Appleton's death Friday. Trading in Micron stocks has been halted.
