On Saturday night in Daytona, the shortest offseason in sports will officially end with the running of the Budweiser Shootout, a 75-lap exhibition event that essentially is not much more than a glorified practice season for the Daytona 500 on Feb. 26.

The NASCAR season opens with the Bud Shootout exhibition race at Daytona International Speedway, and we're live on the scene.
